Of course, finding affiliates is only half of the battle. The next step when it comes to building your strategy is to make sure you select the right people. You will need to look at your established demographic and target audience to establish who is the right person to act as your affiliate.

Look at the audiences and the reach of each affiliate you are considering to determine whether having them promote your product is the most beneficial option for you. You don’t want your product to be associated with influencers who have bad reputations, but you also don’t want to partner with an affiliate that simply doesn’t make sense for your brand. Look for people whose audiences are similar to your target market, and make sure they are respected and trusted by their followers.

Licensing/rules

Working with affiliates is usually a fairly simple process, however, there are some rules you need to follow. Mainly, you need to make sure that the affiliate declares any links to your business and states if they are receiving any monetary gain for the promotion.
