Adzooma Are Proud To Sponsor Sports Teams In The Local Community

TL;DR

  • We’re the proud sponsors to ladies football team the Clifton All Whites AND the Under 15s Derby Rugby Football Club.
  • Both local teams have a strong link to our own Adzooma family and it’s a pleasure to show our support.
  • We wish them all the luck for the upcoming seasons!

At Adzooma, we know that even the smallest difference can go a long way. We believe that we should all be doing our part to support our local communities.

Towards the end of 2018 we were delighted to sponsor a local ladies football team the Clifton All Whites.

This included brand new white uniforms for the whole team, which they wear week in week out while playing in the Nottinghamshire Girls and Ladies Football League (Charter Standard League).

The Clifton All Whites were initially founded in 1963 as an all-boys team under the name of Thistledown Rovers. Dominating youth football in Nottinghamshire, the club grew and expanded, eventually introducing the first girls’ team in 1999. For nearly a decade, the ladies All Whites team have encouraged women to get involved in football and local sports.

As a result of this the team is always expanding, with 20 women currently on the team across a wide age-range. Everyone is welcome to join the team no matter their level of ability. They offer support and always encourage each other to get the result they need each week.

The All Whites are local to our Nottingham headquarters and include our own Social Media & Content Marketing Coordinator, Jaye Bonser on the team. We couldn’t think of a better local team to sponsor.

Jaye Bonser says “I’ve always been so passionate about football so I’m very happy to have a place on the team. On behalf of everybody, I’d like to say a massive thank you to my directors Rob and Dave for sponsoring us. It’s great to be a part of two amazing families and I’m so proud to work for a company like Adzooma, who support local teams.”

We’ll be watching the team’s success in the Nottinghamshire Girls and Ladies Football League and wish them good luck for their upcoming matches as, after a split of the league, they’ll be playing in the top tier of teams.

We’re also sponsoring another local team…

Following on from the successful sponsor of Clifton All Whites we started 2019 by sponsoring a different kind of sports team, The Under 15s Derby Rugby Football Club, managed by one of our very own Developers here at Adzooma, Graham Finlay.

Graham says, “As the Head Coach of the Under 15s at Derby Rugby Football Club I’m always looking to find ways to develop and support my team in all aspects on and off the pitch.”

The Derby RFC has a prosperous Mini and Junior section, it’s an inclusive club supporting players from all walks of life. There are teams across all the age groups from under 7 up to under 16. It has also started a girls section this season to expand on the increasing numbers taking up the sport nationally.

The boys team is made up of thirty-eight 14/15 year olds, many of whom have played together from an early age.  The team has expanded over time with boys of differing skill-levels. Players have also joined from other teams to push their skills to the next level after seeing how the team train and the core values they abide by.

This team is truly inclusive, bringing all members into the rugby family with the belief that every child matters.

The team plays teams across the midlands and is always open to touring groups.

The boys clearly love their rugby, and they care passionately for one another so we are delighted to back them in any way we can.

Our co-founder, Robert Wass says “These sponsorships are a great opportunity for Adzooma and something we’re really proud to have taken part in. The reaction from the teams makes the whole thing worthwhile and we hope it brings them both success”

Both sponsorships provide Adzooma with the opportunity to give something back to the local community. As the business continues to grow, it’s likely that Adzooma will look to help other sports teams and organisations with their individual goals.
